This year for UF’s Pest Management event in Fort Myers we nearly had another hurricane delay. Last season it was Matthew and we were held off for nearly two months. This time around Irma and Maria visited but the timing worked much better and we had the event on time. Part of the discussion of course was what was needed and what could really be done to help the Caribbean disaster still growing. So many PMPs want to help and yet they are still rebuilding their own operations in Texas and Florida. This shot is one of the sessions in the main meeting room. Attendance considering the situation we have all just faced with the storms was pretty good. We are faced with Mother Nature handing us historic damage and destruction. There will be smaller PMPs that will have the businesses set back or even shutdown as they navigate recovery. This meeting brought PMPs together to learn and grow. On a personal level it was great and as always I have new things to look into and new ideas to pursue. As always the knowledge gained was well worth the long drive to attend.
