I was asked to speak in Fairfax VA this week to a group of landscape professionals. The meeting was a recertification session put on by John Deere Landscape for a group of their clients. My session was on wildlife problems for professional landscape companies and their clients. I covered the processes required to successfully deal with deer, moles and cats without harming the animals themselves. There were questions regarding any progress being made for both dog and rodent repellent materials in landscaped areas. Those processes are still being explored. The group shot is from the back of the room as we opened with the new area inspector for the state addressing the participants.
